Restaurants in the districts 10-22

In the restaurants outside the Gürtel, the Viennese cuisine is often combined with the special charm of the Viennese suburb – traditional and comfortable.

Plachutta Hietzing

The original Plachutta restaurant is just a stone’s throw from Schönbrunn Palace, located in a beautiful building dating back to 1900. The focus is on contemporary Viennese cuisine, from boiled beef to braised beef with onions.

Plachutta Nussdorf

Here in this lovingly adapted Biedermeier cottage with its shady courtyard garden, pleasure and hospitality are combined with the enchanting flair of Vienna’s suburbs. The venerated traditional cuisine is an unsurpassable lure during any season into the renowned Plachutta quality.

Kutschker 44

Right next to the beautiful Kutschker Market, Vienna’s cuisine has been reinterpreted: The arc spans from daring combinations like “trout on krautfleckerl with lime sorbet” to the classic standards like “veal lights”.

XXL Brünner Stadl

Enjoyment in XXL size: That’s the signature trademark of “Stadl”. Try the mouthwatering spare ribs and fantastic schnitzels. Delicious courses made with Austrian ingredients of top-quality, arrive fresh out of the giant frying pan onto your table.

Donauturm Wien

The Danube Tower (252 m) is Austria’s tallest building. Since 1964, guests let themselves be pampered with modern Viennese cooking and fine wines in the rotating restaurant (170 m) or in the café.

Zur Alten Kaisermühle

Fish and meat from the charcoal grill and delicious spareribs are just some of the reasons to visit the Alte Kaisermühle. This dreamily romantic restaurant is located in a stunning setting on the picture postcard banks of the Old Danube. Inside, the atmosphere is equally romantic. During summer, visitors are magnetically drawn to the waterside terrace, while in winter there is a cozy saloon bar. It almost goes without saying the menu also features a full complement of Viennese specialties.
